For the price and location you can not argue the inis that I stayed in was amazing the staff were very accommodating and helpful

Stayed here with my family on Xmas day evening we had 3 double rooms
From midnight onwards the room above was shouting swearing and creating a disturbance , this went through the entire night with someone throwing balls or people on the floor until 8 am
I reported it to the security guard three times , roughly 1 am 3 am 5 am , all he did was go outside that door but the noise didn’t stop and he at no point actually knocked on the door which I’m sure which would have resolved the situation I’m sure - he kept telling me he had done his job by what the cameras would see him do but time and time again I reminded him he had not resolved my problem
Out of the 3 rooms , 2 of us got no sleep
We were told to send the complaint by email to the hotel which my wife did a couple of weeks ago ( she booked it ) she has been told they will NOT investigate as the complaint was from a few weeks ago despite the fact the security guard had 3 conversation with me and one with my wife / disgusting response to a very bad night and experience
The guests staying there can get away with such behaviour and the staff do not care
AVOID if you want a good rest and experience
I own a global company and I have told HR never to use Ibis for our staff travels again / if you don’t treat complaints correctly this is what happens , also shared with my 11,000 plus connections on linked in

Not the greatest of locations for non drivers like myself but within walking distance of my work. Great price and value for a hotel that is close to London. The food menu is a lot more extensive than I expected and last but not least the staff are incredibly friendly.

Simply astounding. The staff were amazing, we had an issue with the lights going off and the staff were there within a minute, unfortunately not a quick fix so we had the maintenance team come in the next day, meanwhile they offered us free coffee while we waited and also gave us complimentary free breakfast the next morning and a very late check-out. All this with a courteous smile and empathy. Ibis you've got the best staff you could ever ask for. Special mention to Sky at Check-in and Anna in the kitchen, God Bless you.

I am very disappointed with the service at this hotel!!! I arrived for check in at 12am after a 3hr drive with two children 1 aged 1 and the other aged 3. We requested a baby cot before arrival. When we arrived the lady at the desk told us there was no cot available. I had to cancel the room and book elsewhere as the baby is unable to sleep on a normal bed. Monika at the desk was extremely rude and sarcastic which was very unprofessional. I told monika that I really need a cot and if there was anything she could do. Her response was “do you want me to bring a cot from my house!” This comment was very surprising and rude! All I gave her was respect and politeness. I would suggest ibis monitor their staff. She was very rude and inconsiderate. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. Ended up staying at double tree by Hilton where the staff were very friendly and professional. I would suggest the staff at ibis learn from double tree hotel. I would never stay here! 😡😤 EVERYONE AVOID!!!

It stank in the bathroom. Then also in the room. You couldn't have the window open because the motorway is right in front of the window.

Smooth check in, if you’re looking for a 5* room then this isn’t for you.
Room was average but clean, bed was comfortable decent shower. It was lovely and quiet even though my room was facing towards the busy dual carriageway. I could hardly hear any traffic. Double windows are a definite plus for keeping the room soundproof.
We had a great nights sleep.
This has definitely gained a spot on my list of places i would stay again for sure.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was disappointing. The room was in poor condition, the facilities were subpar, and there was an unpleasant smell throughout. While the staff provided a £16 refund as compensation, it did little to make up for the overall discomfort. I expected much higher standards from this brand and left feeling dissatisfied. I would not recommend this location. Even if it’s just to lay your head. Just kinda nasty really

I really enjoyed staying at Ibis Thurrock hotel.The staff is really nice here,especially Jolanta and Anna ,they are both Brilliant always smiling and helpful.Would recommend for my friends
